Torre Melissa is a real crossroads of culture, fun and breathtaking landscapes. In the city you cannot miss the Aragonese Tower – also called “Torre Merlata” or “Terrazzo” – whose construction was finished in the XVI century. It was built as defense against the attacks of the Venetians and, moreover, it hosts a little peasant culture museum. Wine is the unquestioned protagonist of the culture of this city: “Goblets of Stars”, a manifestation which takes place during the feast in honor of the patron Saint Mary of Carmel, is the perfect moment to sample the Melissa, a rich and scented wine typical of this area.
