The convenience of having a Car
Driving your car in Turin is the best choice if you need to visit the city independently and comfortably. The city centre has many free and paid car parks, and you can walk around the city’s most famous streets without having to worry about your car.
What to see in Turin
Piedmont’s capital has inherited the misleading name of the grey city from the industrial age. Nothing could be further from the truth. Whoever has visited Turin can attest to that. The light-coloured and opulent buildings of the city centre stand out against the blue sky, with the Alps framing the horizon.
Turin preserves evidence of its Roman heritage and its past as the first capital of the Kingdom of Italy. The city is dotted with majestic churches, historic cafés, and is a vibrant cultural hub. The Salone del Libro (book fair), the Salone del Gusto (gastronomy exhibition), the Torino Film Festival and Luci d’Artista (light installations) are just a few examples of the numerous events Turin hosts throughout the year.
